​Being involved in a motor vehicle accident can be a scary and debilitating time. It can take a toll on your body both mentally and physically. Fortunately, Empower Physiotherapy is equipped to take care of all your rehabilitation needs.

Our experienced physiotherapists will be able to assess and treat your injuries while our kinesiologist will put you through an active rehab program to help you get back to doing the things you love prior to your accident. Since we know it can be overwhelming to find out all of the necessary information to begin treatment, I have complied it all together in this short, sweet read for you to know exactly what ICBC will cover and how our team can help you get back to living your best life! 
 
What exactly will ICBC cover at Empower Physiotherapy? 

• Regardless of whether or not you are at fault, as long as you are within 12 weeks of your accident date, you are automatically pre-approved by ICBC for 25 sessions of physiotherapy and 12 sessions of kinesiology.
• For physiotherapy, ICBC will cover $133 for the initial visit and $84 for any subsequent visits.  You will be responsible for any remaining balance of the treatment fees. 
• For kinesiology, ICBC will cover $104 for the initial visit and $83 for any subsequent visits.  At Empower Physiotherapy, you will not be charged for any remaining balance for Active Rehab insured by ICBC.

• Personal Health Care Number
• Claim # 
• Date of Accident 

 
What happens if I am over the 12 week grace period?

• While it is ideal to go ahead and get physiotherapy as soon as possible after enduring a motor vehicle accident, you may not notice the impact it may have had on your body right away. It is possible to still get approval for treatment from ICBC, however we will require your full name and claim # in order to reach out and request an approval if you are over the 12 week grace period. It would also be advisable to get a doctor’s note referring you to physiotherapy.
