Amanda is an Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist with over 25 years of experience helping people recover from hand and upper extremity injuries. A graduate of the University of Alberta, she specializes in guiding clients through rehabilitation and return-to-work programs, combining deep clinical knowledge with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
Amanda works closely with the hand surgeons at Richmond Hospital, where she is an integral part of the weekly hand clinics. She provides expert care for patients recovering from traumatic and post-surgical injuries, ensuring each client has the support they need to restore strength and function.
Her passion for global health has also taken her abroad, contributing to UBC’s Uganda Sustainable Trauma Orthopaedic Program (USTOP) and, following the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, partnering with Handicap International to train rehabilitation assistants and provide direct care to those in need.
Outside the clinic, Amanda is a busy mom of two young children. She enjoys gardening, exploring her creativity through graphic design, and is fluent in Cantonese.
