Karen graduated as an occupational therapist (OT) from the University of British Columbia in 1997 and obtained a post-graduate master’s degree in Rehabilitation Science in 2014.
Karen has worked as a clinician, educator, and leader for over 29 years in the public healthcare system and has over 10 years of experience in the vocational rehabilitation field, supporting individuals on leave from work due to illness or injury.
Karen enjoys complex clinical situations and is passionate about understanding the intersection between physical health and mental health. She is committed to co-creating individualized rehabilitation plans that prioritize daily function and participation in meaningful daily activities.
When not at work, Karen can be found skiing, hiking, back-country camping, walking her dog, Murphy, and daydreaming about the next thing she is planning to cook.
